Hello
I'm still in amazing Cyprus and i don't get back till 1st sept. It's still hot here 36c every day. I did get quite burnt on my chest but I've nearly healed which is gd as on Tuesday i plan to go to the beach. Yesterday we went to visit a castle near the sea. It was interesting but it was so hot hence we didn't spend that long round there. today we had a meal out (most of the time we eat at the villa via the barbecue). It was nice and we saw a wonderful sunset.
On Friday i received my exam results via the student intranet. I couldn't get them on Thursday as we lost all Internet connection. The server is always having a problem. Normally a power cut. I was happy with my results.
Physics: E and B overall D (may resit)
Photography: B
Maths: Stats C and Core B overall B
History: B and C overall B
General Studies: C and D
There you have it my results. But that wasn't the only eventful thing that happened on Friday. we also had no water supply :O. for what ever reason our water pump was and still isn't working. they managed to temporally fix the problem by getting a tanker of water and filling our pipes up but they will empty again.
F1 was 2day. didn't watch it as tv is is mostly in Turkish but i know that Barrichello won with Hamilton 2nd cause of some tyre problem. typical.
Anyways I'm off to bed as I'm 2 hrs ahead of u, it's late here.
Bye Bye

Oh Wonderful Cyprus
Hello
Cyprus is amazing. I love it here. my bedroom is massive and I've got a whole double bed all to myself :). My bathroom is nice and the shower is humongous. The pool looks small when we got here but when u get in it you realize how ginormous it really is. My room is where the Internet hub is making me even happier but the speeds aren't that impressive. On average we're getting 0.7mbs but i can live with it.

So my taxi came at 5.15 on Monday morning to take us to Heathrow airport. I had only been there once before for Egypt where i believe we used terminal 3. This time we were using terminal 5 and it was amazing. no queues and everything is so efficient there.
The 4 and a half hour flight wasn't that bad. I wasn't sick :). The film was Star Trek which i hadn't seen before. I enjoyed it a lot and it all was v simple to understand.
We've spent the past two days just relaxing. Also today my sister and her Friend Vicky came to join us. There here now til the end of the holiday.
We are staying in North Cyprus. The Turkish bit. Basically Cyprus has Turks and Greeks in it but in the 1970s they had a civil was. Turkey got the North and the Greeks had the south and it's been the same ever since.
So far i haven't yet burnt myself :).
2morrow is a big day for me and every other college student as it's results day!! I'll be on the student intranet at some point to get my results. Hopefully i got what i wanted. I have grades in my head of what i would like to get. I won't put them on here cause i could jinx it.
Anyway it's picture time:
the first 3 are of my room
The Pool
The villa
Anyway that's it I'm off to bed

Cyprus 2morrow :)
morning
so 2morrow I'm off again this time to Cyprus. my taxi is coming at half 5 am :0. we are staying in a villa. It looks lovely. and it has broadband Internet meaning i still be able to blog and go on facebook whilst I'm on holiday. Not sure of the speeds of this Internet connection but I'm sure it's gd enough. Not sure what I'm doing at Cyprus other then sunbathing and relaxing but there is nothing wrong with that. I'm taking many books to read. I may be taking my history book to do some notes whilst relaxing in the amazing sun. I won't be doing it every day but i need to get on with it. I get back on September the 1st.
But that means i won't be here for August 20Th which is results day AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. 4 days away. i don't want to know my results. actually do hence on Thursday I'm be on the student intranet finding out when they are eventually uploaded. Hopefully i did well.
U may have read or heard a couple of posts ago that on Thursday I had my driving theory test. That CD i showed u is amazing. A lot of the questions on it turned up. But sadly i did not pass. I failed by 2 marks :@.
Multiple choice i had to get 43 out of 50 and i got 41 :(
Hazard perception i had to get 44 out of 75 and i got 55 :)
So i failed :(. It's been re booked for sometime in September. hopefully I'll do better. Anyway the change of getting 43 out of 50 if all the question have 4 possible answers is 0.000000000000000000017/1.7x10^-19 i think
u do 50C43x(0.25^43)x(0.75^7). I think. Is it right George?? I'm asking u cause u're the only person that reads this that still does maths. It probably isn't.
Also the expected result out of 50 for someone to get is 22.
No wonder i fail. the odds were against me.
Anyway i off. i may post whilst I'm in Cyprus or i may not due to me aving too much fun. I can't do posts on my ipod touch as it hates blogger.

I'M BACK :)
hello

After that at 9.30 we went mini-golfing which was gd fun but too short. Sure there were 20 holes but we only had the time to do 5 as we were kicked off as the place was too busy. Then it was the carnival. Here we dressed in costume ( something to do with being Swiss) and we had our own stall called play ur cards right. It was like the tv show. carnival was gd and i got my face painted :). Later at 8.30 we again went to the sports field in top half uniform. Then we walked and made a lot of noise to a field in Kandersteg along with all the residents of Kandersteg. Here we were treated to a boring presentation, some dancing, some fireworks and a ginormous fire.

sorry about my 2 week long blog absence but i was having a fantastic time in Switzerland. I can't be bothered to tell you what happened everyday no matter how small so here are the highlights of my holiday.
Paragliding: So running off a mountain is absolutely as terrifying as it sounds. the bit off mountain we jumped off was over 2000m above sea level. we got there via cable car. I had a German instructor doing all the steering whilst i just sat back and enjoyed the views. So we were up the mountain he goes 'on 3 u run. u ready? 1, 2, 3'. then we ran. I soon raised off the floor and i was flying. i had a great time and i saw some brilliant views. pictures will be on fb at some point. Here is a vid of bits of my flight. the 2nd bit was when we started to spin so that we would fall quicker so that the ride doesn't last forever but i was still up in the air for about 10 mins and i landed without any bumps.
White water rafting: it was the 30th of July and we were taken to a v fast flowing river by a minibus. I sat at the front so that i would get the most wet. I did get very wet and the rapids were a lot of fun. But they could of been scarier if it had rained the day before but it hadn't so less water so more tame. Still was a lot of fun.
Jacob's Ladder: A row of wooden poles rising upwards. The gap between them increased the higher you got. However this activity didn't look much fun but it was mainly due to our instructors. We had martin (who turned out to be our Hockenhorn guide) and another person. first we had to get to the top with someone's help without using the cables at either side of the poles. U couldn't do it by yourself. Then we raced up there this time using the cables to help us up. I sadly lost against tom. What made it fun was each time we reached the top we were forced to sing an embarrassing song. the songs that we sang throughout the activity were barbie girl, Bohemian rhapsody, YMCA and I'm a little tea pot.
Swiss National day: the whole of this day was amazing. It started at 8 where everyone at KISC had breakfast together on the sports field. then we were force to do fitness aerobics style. It was so much fun here is tom doing it.
Hockernhorn: oh yes i climbed the hock. the hock looked down at me but i laughed and beat it. It took us 1 and a half days to reach the summit at 3293m above sea level. We stayed overnight in a mountain hut with an all u can eat tea :). The first day we got no views at all as it was so cloudy and we had non-stop rain for the whole day. However the 2nd day cleared up and we got amazing views at the top. It was a v hard hike and it took a lot out of me. My bones were all aching. Then we had to go down. Some of the mountain was covered in snow so we had the stupid idea to slide down it using ice picks as brakes. suicide but i enjoyed it. At the top i recorded a vid:
Rock climbing: To be honest we didn't ave high expectations for this activity. we got there at 8.30 thinking it would all be over by 11. we soon found out it was ending at half 4 and we had no lunch and little water. but some of the scouts shared with us. We knew this activity was gonna be gd when we where taken via cable car to the cliffs we would be climbing. It was a lot of fun and not easy. foot and hand holes weren't easy to find. I was originally gonna spend the time after rock climbing to go to town for souvenirs and gifts. but that never happened as we got back so late so i got no gifts for my family from this holiday.
Snow and ice combo: I had no idea what this was gonna be like and it exceeded all the expectations i had. We got up to the mountain up at 12 ish via cable car and some hiking. behind this hut were some amazing glaciers. and have a guess who i met up with at this activity. good old Ruth miles. who u may ask. well she's in my Tg at college and she's friends with Stephen Springate. So we got there we put on our crampons, helmets and harnesses and we were armed with ice pics. We spent the day walking and jumping over crevasses and being lowered into one which was insanely deep. Once again we had an all you can eat tea. the 2nd day we did some ice climbing like below. they were great two days. After all this snow stuff we had our closing ceremony/pool party. but sadly it didn't stop raining and the pool was outside. still we made it fun.
and that is it. i had an amazing time and i got back home around 7 yesterday. i want to meet up with people before I'm off again. My wk is mostly empty except on Wednesday when i ave my theory test :(.
Bye
